Remembering Gene Clark

19th May 2011

Gene Clark with The Byrds, performing his song ‘I’ll Feel A Whole Lot Better’ on the Shivaree show.

Next Tuesday, May 24th, marks the twentieth anniversary of the passing of Gene Clark, the writer of some of the most amazing songs that I have ever heard.
We will be declaring the day ‘Remember Gene Clark’ day, and to pay our respects we have created a fanzine tribute that’s going out to our subscribers (as a pdf), along with a download comp of our favorite Gene numbers, on the morning of that day.
The ‘zine has been written by Mick Houghton (‘Becoming Elektra’) along with contributions from friends and fans, including Bobby Gillespie, Carla Olson, Gerry Love and Bob Stanley.
If you would like to join us in remembering Gene and you aren’t a Caught by the River subscriber all you need to do is put your e address in the box at the top of this page. We promise we won’t abuse it. (JB)
