I like this off the Guardian website. Charing Cross Road used to be bibliophile heaven, then, recently, Caught By The River favourite Murder One closed it’s doors after 21 years of trading. Although there’s still a handful of antiquarian bookshops left, it’s hardly like it used to be. Ah, us ebay-ers, when will we ever learn?
