Not sure what your childhood reading constisted of, but it sure looks like – after Watchmen – I’m due a double whammy of pivotal books being brought to the big screen this year. Very worth checking this, the trailer for the long delayed Spike Jonze screen adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s Where The Wild Things Are. Music on the trailer is an acoustic take of Arcade Fire’s “Wake Up” (never, ever sounded better, I swear). The film script has been written with Dave Eggers of McSweeneys fame. The soundtrack for the movie is over-seen by Karen O (of Yeah Yeah Yeah’s). And, oh yes, the big furry beast in the trailer is voiced by James Gandolfini.
