After the huge success of 2013’s first Caught by the River Social Club, we’re excited to be able to announce our next event at the Queen’s Head (on 7 March). This time we’ll be showing a couple of phenomenal short films alongside talks from regular Caught by the River contributors. The Social Club line up looks like this:
Poems from Will Burns;
Irish Folk Furniture (winner of best animated short film at this year’s Sundance Festival);
Mrs Bun’s tales from the allotment kitchen;
Mathew Clayton on a 100 year old apple tree planted by the artist David Jones;
and The Can House – a film by Maxie Bianco. Introduced by Michael Smith and followed by a talk and Q & A with the director.
Tickets are £5 in advance from the Caught by the River shop. Doors open at 7pm. Early arrival is advised. You can find the Queen’s Head here.
