When we released Under Dubwood eighteen months ago, we had no idea if anyone would buy it. Whichever way you looked at it, our first Rivertones 7 was a pretty bonkers prospect – Richard Burton meets Dylan Thomas in downtown Kingston, JA. Llareg-dub, as it were. We needn’t have worried.
The initial press sold out in weeks and the track soon took on a life of its own – DJs started hammering it before Radio 4 eventually ended up using it as a soundbed. Due to a lot of demand and the fact that this year is the centenary of Dylan Thomas’ birth, we’ve done a very small repress on the single. Pre-orders are now being taken – it’ll be available just before Christmas – and anyone buying one from us will get a free MP3 download of both sides as soon as they order (the single comes flipped with an equally brilliant, properly wigged out Time and Space Machine psych-reedit called River Theme). These 7s won’t last long – we recommend snapping them up quickly!
