Photographs by Laura Braun from her book, Métier, Small Businesses in London, which is all about small-scale independent and specialist businesses in the capital and the people who run them. I’ve chosen to run two that have significance for us, firstly the wonderful Mrs. Rose, who knew at a glance knew exactly what my suit-jacket needed back in the Spring of 2013. The fiver I spent on the buttons that brought the jacket back to life was small change in return for the service and the delightful conversation we had about tailoring, cloth and the neighborhood of Fitzrovia. A fascinating shop and a very interesting lady.
