On Monday 7 March, join us at The Social, London, for a Caught by the River Social Club celebrating the release of Peter Riley’s Strandings.

Peter will read from Strandings — an insight into the secretive world of whale scavengers — and discuss it with Patrick Barkham. Patrick will also read from his collected writings for the Guardian, Wild Green Wonders.

Accompanying poetry comes from Jessica Streeting’s epic Sea-Change, reflecting on a childhood move to deepest Norfolk, and longstanding Caught by the River contributor Katherine Venn, who will read new work. 

MC for the evening is the esteemed John Andrews.

Doors 7pm, with programme starting 7.30pm sharp.
