Photographer William Arnold has just released The Ocean Will Have Us All, the final instalment in his Retinette Series. An experiment in self-publishing, The Retinette Series spans 12 rolls of film, shot on a 1950s Kodak Retinette camera over 12 months, resulting in 12 zines, and a total of 168 photographs.
Standalone copies are available on William’s site. You can also contact the artist for a very limited number of complete sets.
William writes:
‘It became hard not to overthink the content at times but for the most part I tried to remain with a continual stream of consciousness. I hope you’ve enjoyed the titles – thinking points, provocations…
Never shooting a roll of 35mm film again.’
