One of our favourite festivals is Scotland’s multi-venue get together, Homegame. It takes place in a sleepy fishing village and is run by the good people behind the ever-inspirational label Fence Records (home of, among many others, King Creosote and the Pictish Trail). This year, the label have decided to change things a little. They’ve given it a different name – Eye of the Dug – and headed out to the place where the label first started up.
Costing just £45 quid and using the same multi venue blueprint as Homegame, they’ve assembled a mindblowing line up including King Creosote and Jon Hopkins, Django Django, Pictish Trail, KT Tunstall (who originally recorded for Fence way back when), James Yorkston, Alexis and Joe from Hot Chip, Errors and a load more. As the Fence chaps say, “St Andrews was where Fence Records all began, and so it feels right to return there, and have a big knees up, once again…”
Tickets are on sale now, see you on the sleeper train.
