We’re a little behind with announcing the results of our recent newsletter competitions, so to bring things up to date, here are the winners of the last three.
First up: The prize is a copy of this great looking book by Jack Thurston – Lost Lanes – 36 Glorious Bike Rides in Southern England
We asked: When was the first organised bicycle ride from London to Brighton?
Well the answer is debatable. We were reliably informed that there have been bike rides on the route since 1869. However, every answer given was 1976, so that’s what we’ve gone for.
The winners are: Adrian Arratoon, Ian Huckle and Harriet Lam.
Next up: To mark the publication of the fourth issue of Doghouse magazine, we have a copy to giveaway along with the three previous issues. We asked:
Which of the founder members of Caught by the River has co-authored two books about pubs?
No contention there. The answer is of course, Robin Turner. And the winner is… Sally Branch.
And finally: We have three CDs of William Tyler’s excellent new album Impossible Truth to give away. The question was:
What is the name of William’s Dad’s hometown (in South Mississippi)?
The answer is McComb and the lucky winners are: Stefan Keydel, Spencer Smith and Deborah Hammond.
Congratulations to all of the winners, your prizes will be with you shortly, and thanks to all who entered. Competitions run most weeks on our newsletter. To be sure not to miss out on these and other exclusive offers sign yourself up to our mailing list here.
