To coincide with the paperback publication of Robert Macfarlane’s masterpiece The Old Ways, we have now made our second Rivertones release, The Sea-Road, available to buy digitally from iTunes. The Sea-Road, a collaboration between Rob and sound recordist Chris Watson, was recorded live at last year’s Port Eliot festival. It features Robert telling the story of his journey to Sula Sgeir, an island off the northern coast of Scotland, which featured in The Old Ways, backed by Chris’ soundscape.
